Hailed by the family’s traditional recipes, Saharuddin Mohammad Nor and his wife Zubidah Mohammed Alias run a restaurant that serves the original taste of asam pedas. Began operating the business since July 2014 with the intention to introduce and promote Malay cuisine to foreign tourists and local patrons.

Widely known for its asam pedas cuisine, here at Asam Pedas Selera Kampung, the original recipe is the special sour spicy snapper fish served with hot rice along with 10 various salads. Other fishes are also available and will be prepared upon request from customers. Our asam pedas fish has an authentic taste created by the sourness of the gravy and the soft tender of the fish that would excite your taste buds. Besides, rendang ayam dish is also must try dish. The rendang ayam is prepared using spicy curry and thick coconut milk to bring out the aromatic and delicious taste.

Apart from our asam pedas and rendang ayam dishes, we have ample of food choices for our customers. From our signature dishes, asam pedas fish, fried chicken, crab or lobster masakan lemak, ulam until our regular dishes, nasi lemak, popia and lots more.

Saharuddin Mohammad Nor is an expert in preparing asam pedas dishes and has over 18 years of experience in it. He monitors and ensures that all the dishes prepared at the restaurant are well cooked and tasty. Whether you are visiting us for breakfast, lunch, dinner or even a celebration, we believe that every occasion should be exceptional and treasured.
